My passion for caring for seniors began long before I knew it would become part of my life’s work. Growing up in a small Texas town where Elvis was still king and the charm of the mid-20th century was very much alive, I began working alongside and serving older adults at our local pharmacy, deli, and craft store.

 

Those early experiences taught me how meaningful the little things can be from learning the traditional meals and familiar comforts seniors enjoyed, to listening to their stories and appreciating the generations that came before me. My interest in serving others eventually led me to become certified as a Pharmacy Technician, giving me valuable knowledge of medications and the important role they play in the health and well-being of older adults. I also spent time volunteering in senior living facilities, further deepening my appreciation for this generation.

 

In 2011, senior care became even more personal when I began working in the residential care home owned and operated by my mother-in-law. It was there that I truly learned the heart of caregiving; patience, dignity, compassion, attentiveness, and the importance of creating a home where seniors feel known, valued, and genuinely cared for.

 

For my husband, this way of life goes back even further. He grew up in a senior care home, surrounded by residents who became part of the rhythm of his everyday life. Caring for older adults wasn’t simply a profession he observed, it was part of the home and family environment that shaped him.

 

Now, our individual experiences have come full circle. Together, we want to carry forward what was instilled in both of us from an early age and create a home where exceptional care feels personal. Our vision is rooted in everything we’ve learned along the way: honoring each resident’s story, preserving their dignity and independence, celebrating the traditions and comforts that make them feel at home, and caring for them as we would want our own family to be cared for. "Everyone is the hero of their story, it's our job to find out the story."

 

For us, senior care isn’t simply a business we’re pursuing. It’s a continuation of something that has been woven into both of our lives for many years and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make it our own.
